Overview of the Connectivity Tab

Use this tab to change the URL (web addresses) for your site that various components of your MarketDirect StoreFront site—such as PrintMessenger, RPC (Remote Print Center), the file converter, MIS—will connect to.

This functionality is available only for standalone (or self-hosted) installations and the tab will not be present for ePS-hosted (cloud) installations. Please contact ePS TechnicalSupport at mdsf.support@epssw.com or (412)-785-1699 for help with changing these settings.

To change the URL site components will connect to

1         Enter your site internal and external site URLs in the fields.

It is recommended that you accept the default values for the fields on this page unless directed otherwise by ePS TechnicalSupport.

In most cases you will be concerned only with the first internal site URL and the first external site URL.

The Internal Site URL is typically the address to the main MarketDirect StoreFront server deploying your MarketDirect StoreFront site. This is the URL on your network (e.g., behind your firewall) that internal applications will use to connect to your site.

The first External Site URL is the external URL  through which external applications (e.g., outside your firewall) such as Remote Print Center (RPC), PrintMessenger, MicroPress, etc. will use to connect to your site.

2         Check the Encrypt Query String box if you want the URLs to be encrypted.

Selecting this option is strongly recommended for security purposes.

3         Click Save.
